After surrendering 12 goals in their last two games, the Erie Otters looked a lot more confident Saturday night. Jerry Rice Jersey . Greg McKegg scored two short-handed goals as the Otters stymied the London Knights to snap a three-game losing streak with a 5-2 victory in Ontario Hockey League play. Erie found an opening through Igor Bobkov, the Knights six-foot-six, 240-pound rookie goaltender, late in the first period. Second-year winger David Broll turned defenceman David Shields pass into his second goal of the season and a 1-0 Otters lead with 5:32 left in the first. Shawn Szydlowski scored his first goal of the season just 31 seconds later to make it 2-0. Then in the second period, a defensive miscue turned into a short-handed goal for McKegg. Both players two-putted for par -- Lowry from 40 feet and Rock from eight feet -- to extend the playoff at County Louth Golf Club. Back at the 18th for the second playoff hole, Rock found a greenside bunker with his second, while Lowry knocked his second to the par-five within 10 feet. After Rock blasted to eight feet, Lowry left his eagle attempt short and tapped in for birdie.
